Do you have a story inside you waiting to be written? In Young Authors 10-session Course, writers will progress through the steps of creating their own original book from idea to final draft. Through engaging lessons and writing time, writers will explore idea generation, character creation, world building, story structure, editing, and refining as they bring their stories to life.

Writers may choose the format that best fits their story, including a picture book, chapter book, comic, or graphic novel style, and will work toward completing a digital and/or paper book ready for the final stages of publishing. During each sessions, campers will receive guidance, encouragement, and feedback from experienced writers and editors, helping them strengthen their storytelling and develop their unique voice. Writers will also learn how authors revise, edit, and prepare their stories for publication. By the end of the Young Authors 10-session Course, young authors will have a story they are proud of and the option to move forward with advanced editing adn printing their books through a publishing platform.

Optional book printing is available but not included in camp tuition.

Young Authors 10-session Course  is available in-person OR online, Thursdays @ 5:00 PM OR Saturdays @ 3:30 PM. Recommended for Writers entering 3rd and up.
