Does your child have a story waiting to be written? Each session pairs a short story-writing lesson with supported writing time so that young writers can try a new technique right away. Lessons cover idea generation, character, worldbuilding, plot, dialogue, description, revision, and more.

Writers choose their own project: a chapter book, short story, picture book, comic, graphic novel, or something else. Experienced writers and editors give individual guidance and feedback along the way.

No pressure to finish. Join any time, attend the sessions that fit your schedule, and keep growing across semesters. Some writers build one story for months, while others try new characters and genres. Writers who finish a manuscript can add editing, digital formatting, and publishing services for an additional fee.
